Watercolor Workshops
Popular art teacher Ciel Duke is offering two upcoming Watercolor Workshops. The first one-day workshop will focus on painting various types of Skies. This will be on Saturday, February 15, from 10 am until 2 pm with a lunch break.
The sky is frequently the most important part of a painting - not only because it occupies a large area of the composition, but also because it can effectively and dynamically create a mood. Just a few quick strokes can bring to mind a sunny day, a sunset or an approaching storm.
Class time includes demonstrations followed by painting time for at least 4 different skies.
The second workshop will be on painting Trees, on Tuesday, February 25, from 10 am until 2 pm with a lunch break.
These workshops are for artists with experience in watercolor - intermediate or advanced level. Various types of quality watercolor papers will be provided by Ciel. Participants will bring their own paints and brushes. The cost is $50 per workshop, or $90 for both, if registered together.
