"MATISSE from the MOMA and from the Tate Modern"

On Tuesday, June 13 at 2:30 in the Cribari Conference Room, The Villages Arts and Crafts Association will present “Matisse From MoMA and TATE MODERN”.  These shows explore the final chapter of Matisse’s career when he began “carving into color” creating his signature cut-outs.  

Filmed at both Tate Modern and MoMA, the film reflects the preparation and exhibition of Matisse’s simple but sophisticated cut-outs.  Along with the exhibitions, the film also features Matisse’s biography.  

This is a long film (97 minutes with a 10-minute intermission) but worth taking the time to explore what he accomplished in the last year of this life.
