Blowing glass
There was much enthusiasm and appreciation shown on Tuesday after the Art Film presented by Arts & Crafts and volunteer Marion Rose. The life story and career of glass artist Dale Chihuly was captivating, with hundreds of colorful images of glass sculptures woven throughout the film. Chihuly's genius was evident and the fascinating process of glass blowing was well illustrated- almost looking easy at times. After the film, Ciel Duke shared information about a memorable family excursion to a glassblowing facility in Boulder Creek. The company is named Viscosity Studio, offering classes and group parties at their outdoor facility surrounded by tall redwoods with plenty of space to enjoy watching each participant follow their dream of creating a beautiful glass object. It was a magical few hours, we learned so much, and even plan to do it again! Check out their website at https://www.viscositystudio.com/… maybe this would make a great family outing for you!
