Next Guest Artist is Jemal Diamond at the Monday, March 3 General Membership Meeting.  Cribari Conference Room, 1:45 pm.

Jemal Diamond has given us his time here at the Villages before.  If you have not seen him, then do get your seat and make sure your calendar is marked for March 3rd at 1:45 in the Cribari Conf. Room.  Colorful, intriguing and delightful are some very good descriptions of his work.  Here is a bit about Jemel.  His drawing style comes from the grand tradition of doodling. The smooth, gentle roll of a pen across the pulpy texture of paper is meditative and soothing. It's the marks we make in the margins while our focused minds are elsewhere, he finds most interesting. When in art school, he would take his abstract drawings to his peers and ask, “What would you title this?” That simple question activated their imagination and engagement, and when he began posting drawings online with the caption, “Title Me,” imaginative, creative, and inspirational titles poured in. Jemel collected them all and made selections whenever the work was shown.
