Paint, Print and Trade with Pat Remington

Please join Pat Remington for a fun step-by-step class: Paint, Print & Trade! Like a cookie exchange, we will paint and print 12 prints of one carved image. We will keep one and trade the others, so we will end up with a collection from the whole class.

First Pat will demonstrate a quick and easy way to create abstract acrylic backgrounds. Class 2, we will learn how to design and carve an image, from botanicals to birds, landscape or still life. Image ideas will be provided or bring a photo or drawing 6x6 you wish to carve. We'll talk about positive and negative space and do some warm up carving.

Next we will print on your prepared backgrounds. Last class we will exchange prints and you will learn how to seal and mount 3 selected prints on wood panels. Plus a bonus print from Pat, so you will leave with 4 prints mounted on wood.

A selection of acrylic paint, brushes, cutters, brayers and 3 wood panels will be provided.

Three classes on Fridays: November 8, 15, 22 and one Tuesday, December 3, 1:00-3:30 at the Cribari Center Art Room. The fee is $60. Max. 8 students. Register at by November 1.
