The Art Medium You Did Not Know You Would Love!

Curious about trying a user-friendly art medium? Discover the bold beauty of Scratchboard in this hands-on "Intro to Scratchboard Workshop" designed for artists of all levels. You'll learn how to create striking, high-contrast images by gently scratching through black ink to reveal luminous white detail beneath – and you can add bright color if you'd like. Best of all, no drawing experience is required and mistakes are easily corrected! The process starts with tracing the outline of your subject, then proceeding step-by-step to gradually add more scratches until the contrast is correct. It's a fun, relaxing process that anyone can enjoy, and you'll leave with a stunning piece of framed art – and a new creative skill! Attendees will have four choices of subject matter from which to choose. Supplies and frames for the finished piece are included in the $70 class fee.
