Collage Class with Barbara Gottesman

Save your paper scraps and found objects for a Wednesday Collage Class offered to Villagers by Barbara Gottesman. May 4 through June 29 are the dates and 9:30 am until 12 noon is the time in the Art Room.

We will study the collages of Diane Dathe, Jim Paradis, Jane Hink, Joyce Borge, Kay Duffy and Marilyn Murata among others. We have almost 6 bushels of collage papers to share with you. We will also dye our own rice paper to tear up. You need to bring masking tape, watercolor paper or a canvas panel for each college you make, a jar of matte medium, an old brush and an apron. We have plenty of all else.

The fee is $40 for members; $45, non-members. Checks must be in to the Class Scheduler to reserve your place. Limit is 8 students.

1. roll of masking tape

2. scissors

3. bottle of Golden or Liquitex acrylic matte medium

4. 2 or 3 old brushes: small, medium and large

5. a shoe box-sized box to collect collage papers

6. an apron
