BRING SEVERAL PHOTOS OF HUMAN OR ANIMAL FACES YOU WISH TO DRAW AND PAINT.
“Great paintings need to be built with the help of design principles. Therefore, I am going to talk about fundamental design principle and composition in my workshop. I am also going to focus on the essence of how to apply these principles to different subject matters such as portraits.
MATERIALS LIST FOR PORTRAIT WORKSHOP
The material list for the drawing class is as follows:
• Regular pencil - HB-2B (soft)
• Soft vine Charcoal sticks
• 4B charcoal pencil
• Kneaded eraser
• Water soluble pen -Tombo (Instructor will show students what kind)
Material list for the watercolor students is as follows:
Paper: Arches 140 lb Cold Press
Paint: Winsor & Newton or Grumbacher
◦ Lemon Yellow Brushes:
◦ Cadmium Yellow 1 1/2–inch flat
◦ Raw Sienna # 6 - round
◦ Burnt Sienna
◦ Cadmium Red Light
◦ Burnt Umber Others:
◦ Rose Madder 15 ½ x 22 inch board
◦ Cobalt Blue Palette with lid
◦ Ultramarine Blue Water container
◦ Windsor Blue Masking tape or clips
